Control for Unistellar telescopes
Unistellar is the companion app for Unistellar smart telescopes. It gives telescope owners a mobile interface for setting up observations, choosing targets, controlling the telescope and reviewing what the instrument captures. The app suits beginners who want a simpler route into astronomy, as well as experienced observers who want a practical control panel for deep-sky viewing and astrophotography.
Find and observe celestial targets
The app includes a catalogue of more than 5,000 celestial objects, including galaxies and nebulae. Instead of working out every target manually, users can browse the catalogue and select an object to observe. Telescope alignment and pointing are handled through the connected Unistellar hardware, reducing the amount of manual setup normally associated with telescope mounts.
Build images while you watch
Unistellar can combine incoming exposures during an observation, helping faint objects become clearer and more colourful over time. This live image accumulation is useful for viewing objects that are difficult to see through a conventional small telescope. Users who want to work with their observations elsewhere can also export RAW image data for further processing or analysis.
Astronomy beyond personal viewing
The app also connects observations with citizen-science projects. Depending on the supported telescope and activity, users may contribute data to research linked with organisations such as NASA and SETI, including work involving asteroids and exoplanets.
